Terracotta cookware has been used for countless centuries in Spain - its heat and flavour retaining qualities are well known. Our F-Series terracotta comes from northern Spain where they are made to traditional designs using the local red clay. Retaining their rustic charm these inexpensive items are produced to safe modern standards. The glaze is guaranteed to be lead and cadmium-free in line with EC legislation. The cazuelas (casseroles) are versatile additions to the kitchen and can be used directly on electric, gas and ceramic hobs and in normal or microwave ovens. We recommend that you soak your terracotta cookware in warm water for about five hours before using for the very first time.
